Wildly True Promises
I heard recently of a new movie that is coming out: The Good, the Bad and the Dow Jones Average. On a serious note, in light of our countries economic woes, God has made promises that endure from generation to generation. God’s promises are steady and steadfast. They are guaranteed and backed by God Himself. Here is one of those promises:
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
God meets our needs according to His supply. If a co-worker said to you today “I will meet all your needs according to my riches,” you would think-how much does this guy have in his bank account? Why? Because your needs are being met “according to,” or in agreement with, his supply. Even the wealthiest person among us has limited supply. On the other hand God has unlimited supply.
And God, “…supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”
2 Corinthians 9:10
Yet, here is the kicker. Not only does God supply your needs, He chooses to grant your desires.
“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
Wow! A God that meets your needs and grants your desires-and-this God considers you the apple of His eye.
Just a thought,
